CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was founded by followers of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara in 1969 and works under the administration of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). It was first established as Christ College but was granted Autonomy in 2004 by the UGC and declared a Deemed to be University. The University is to be referred to as CHRIST (Deemed to be University). Eligibility

● Eligibility criteria applicable to International students for admission to UG courses: International applicants (PIO / OCI / NRI or Foreign National students) have to meet certain eligibility requirements for obtaining admission to UG programmes in this University. • The student must have completed their upper or higher secondary (12 years schooling) from a recognized Education Board of their respective home country. • If the student has studied in a non-English speaking country, they are required to have additional English language certification such as TOFEL / IELTS / one-year English course certificate. • The student needs the minimum marks in the required subjects for the course as specified by the college. • Students may have to take the relevant entrance test as required by this University.
